This young man has reached a fork in the road of his life. One fork leads to hard work an education and becoming a responsible, useful, productive, and positive member of society.
The other fork leads to dropping out of school, joining a gang, and enjoying the glorified, easy money life of a "Thug". He wonders why he should work hard in school, work part time at minimum wage, and enduring the taunts of the local thugs, when all he has to do is take the other fork.
It's time we "Step Up" as a community and show this young man that the easy money life of a thug leads to only 2 destinations. The first is prison, the other a funeral. We need to help this young man stand strong and follow his dreams. We need to help him see that he can be ANYTHING he wants to be if he works hard, and follows the right path.
